Computerized Timekeeping

Superior Watch Service Inc. developed its own custom-made computerized program to monitor timekeeping accuracy, a system which tracks the complete conditions of watches in six positions and automatically calculates appropriate averages. This unique method allows us to regulate fine watches with a higher degree of accuracy during testing.

Our high-tech testing also has a built-in option which allow us to save the results directly to our jobs data base for retrieval anytime. No other facility, anywhere in the world, employs our custom-designed automated program to test watches for optimum accuracy.

The best mechanical watches may have variances of accuracy from +000 to +007 seconds a day. Even a very high precision watch is constantly affected by magnetic fields, Earth's gravity, temperature variations, and sudden shocks received unknowingly.

Rate changes can occur anytime after regulating and adjusting a watch. It is sometimes necessary to readjust the timekeeping after the original service was performed. Our technicians try their best to make your mechanical timepiece as precise and accurate as humanly possible.

We perform these tests on most watches less than 15 years old. The printout from our computerized watch accuracy tests looks like the following sample.
